How it works.
Go to the Weather Underground map page to find a weather station ID. Click on the map symbols and they will pop up an information box.
The weather station ID is in the top left of the pop-up. Make a note of it, come back to this page and enter it into the form.
Enter a start date. This is based on ISO-compliant date codes so it is in the format YYYY-MM-DD.
Enter an end date in the same format (it’s recommended to try a single day first as some stations don’t have data available or don’t work through this method). This form is limited to six months at a time.
Check the checkbox if you'd like the results returned in metric units rather than imperial.
Hit download. The form then makes a request for each day in turn, so if you’re asking for a lot of days you may have to wait a little while before you see the download begin. It varies by how much information is available for the location you’ve chosen and each full year requested could take up to about five minutes, though usually it's much quicker.
Open up your CSV file and start working with the data!
This is a new tool and might be subject to a few bugs. There is a limit to how many records that can be downloaded at one time. Up to six months is normally fine, so if you're looking for a full year just download it in two batches. If you still have trouble then you may have to try three months at a time.
Please report any other problems, bugs or suggestions to firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll do our best to fix things.
