I started oCo Carbon as a way of looking at energy and environment related things that catch my interest and I think are interesting enough for a bit of a deeper look. Some of them I get paid for, some of them I don’t. The blog is regularly updated and some interesting tools are in the pipeline.
In 2012 we released tools for accessing travel distances, travel times, geocoding and time zone data in Excel, for finding weather files for energy performance simulations, and for downloading weather data from Weather Underground.
We’ve also just launched a news service, pulling together links to interesting stories. At the moment these cover embodied carbon, building energy performance simulation, EROEI, Excel VBA, and sustainable refurbishment. Let us know if there’s anything else you’d like to have us gather links on.
And if you have any questions, requests for consultancy, development or research please contact us and we’ll be happy to discuss your ideas.
